Children’s House of Bucks County a Montessori school was established in Celebrating

Education1965 and is located in lower Bucks County. The nonprofit school follows the widely-acclaimed teaching principles of Dr. Maria Montessori an Italian physician and scientist who specialized in pediatrics and psychology. She believed children learn more by exploring and experiencing lessons with their senses rather than just by listening. We serve Preprimary Primary Kindergarten and Elementary students from Lower and Central Bucks county Philadelphia and nearby New Jersey areas. Our students come from many different communities including Bensalem Fairless Hills Levittown Morrisville Newtown Yardley Washington Crossing and Wrightstown in Pennsylvania and Ewing and Trenton in New Jersey.

The Children’s House of Bucks County provides:
A Montessori environment… which includes classrooms rich in Montessori materials and staffed with Montessori trained state-certified teachers. The Children’s House of Bucks County is affiliated with the American Montessori Society.
A well-rounded experience… which addresses the academic social emotional physical and ethical needs of each child. This is accomplished through the practical life sensorial language and math materials of the Montessori methods and other enrichment opportunities provided within the curriculum. As a result students develop independence self-motivation responsible decision-making respect for self and others self-management and the ability to view experiences from differing perspectives.
The basis for an enduring love of learning… by encouraging intellectual curiosity and building self-confidence through the self-identification and self-correction of mistakes. This prepares children for future educational and life experiences.
Individual responsiveness… by celebrating and nurturing each child’s unique abilities learning styles and interests thereby promoting the realization of the child’s potential.
Multi-age classrooms… by placing children ranging from 18 months through 36 months in the preprimary program; children 2 years 10 months to 6 years of age together in primary and children 6 years to12 years of age together in elementary. This allows the younger children to benefit from the modeling demonstrated by the older children and the older children to gain skills by helping and teaching the younger children.
A family-focused environment… by encouraging families to participate in school activities and Family School Association sponsored social events. The school also provides a parent education program which strives to reinforce and maintain continuity in the learning process between home and school parent and teacher.
