An education degree and teaching career gave The Play Schools founder Rita Hafner the knowledge and experience she needed to start a successful curriculum-based Indianapolis child care center. However its her honest and sincere affection for children and their families that keeps her passionate and motivated. SociallyWhile playing with one friend or several children learn valuable social skills. Teachers are always close by to guide children in positive communication sharing and problem solving.
PhysicallyEach facility features age-appropriate outdoor playgrounds as well as an indoor gymnasium for all-weather play. Gross-motor skills are encouraged through a combination of structured activities and free-play time.
EmotionallyBy fostering increased independence and mastery of self-help skills children gain self confidence and self esteem that will serve them well throughout their education and life.
CognitivelyClassroom are divided into learning centers filled with engaging theme-based activities. Centers include art blocks dramatic play home living language manipulatives math and science music and movement sensory discovery and more.
