T.L.C. University of Foley

In 1999, the original owners of TLC sold to Sandra Forster and Dennis Yoerg. Having owned and operated Red Balloon Child Care Center of Becker for 5 years, the new owners were excited to bring their business style to Foley. A year later, they remodeled the back storage area into 4 rental units to complete the TLC building.

The owners, Sandra Forster and Dennis Yoerg, wanted to create a family centered place for young children to grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically. The goals have always been simple: create a place where families have a safe and fun place to leave their children.

The owners are very proud of the fact that most of the staff are highly trained and have years of experience with us. Most of the employees have been with the company for over 5 years. The company provides yearly educational opportunities to expand each employee’s knowledge of child development and the current best practices for working with young children.

Because both owners are school teachers, the focus on educational programing is a major focus. Equally important is to be flexible for families. This is why TLC University and Foley Falcon University charge for days scheduled only. The Company believes that if Grandma comes to visit, or if the parents have time off from work or school, that the children should be home with the Grandma or parent. So, the policy of “you pay for what you schedule” was born. Further, the programs also provide children with opportunities. The company offers classroom educational activities, transportation is provided to Foley Community Education activities, Foley School Readiness programs, and other activities that are available to the children in the Foley Community. A partnership with parents with high quality programs that give parents the flexibility to meet their family needs is what TLC University and Foley Falcon University are all about.
