Shepherd of The Coast Learning Center

An Early Childhood Curriculum is identified as teaching for the development of the total
child. All areas of the curriculum are interwoven throughout the day. The day can not be
divided into established subject areas. However because the basis of all learning in the
young child is through the five senses the child is learning through their play and
manipulation of materials. The daily schedule of Shepherd of the Coast Learning Center
includes Bible stories and worship experiences music and movement art language and
literacy sensory experiences math science and social studies activities. The
development of faith is the central focus of the curriculum at Shepherd of the Coast. The
other content areas are taught in a variety of ways.
