We welcome all members of our community. The school provides Early Childhood students with a foundation for learning by nurturing social and cognitive skills during the earliest years of development. Thoughtful appropriate programming including a Judaic component respects the dignity worth and uniqueness of each individual child and family member.
The goal of the Early Childhood Program is to allow your children to grow and develop in the most positive environment possible and to be happy with themselves and within the new world they are discovering. Your children will be encouraged to fulfill their creative potential to learn by experience and to develop their own personalitiesself-worth and self-discipline.
One of the most dynamic aspects of our program is the quality of day-to-day interaction among parents children and staff. Toddler through Pre-Kindergarten students are offered enriching experiences with opportunities to experiment discover dream and imagine. Our program is tailored to each individual child. The varying degrees of growth and development in each child are recognized as well as the specific interests of each child.

The objective of the Early Childhood Program is to stimulate interest in a variety of subjects in order to promote cognitive intellectual social emotional spiritual language and physical growth. Children are encouraged to be well rounded and to explore all aspects of life. They do so in an atmosphere sensitive to our rich Jewish heritage.
The curriculum includes but is not limited to: Art language development Science block building creative dramatic play puppetry manipulative play cooking reading and math readiness computer fun library time and outdoor play. Judaic themes are integrated throughout the curriculum.
Creative movement is an integral part of our curriculum. A specialist trained in the physical development needs of young children gears the program toward the body awareness and large and small motor coordination.
Music and Hebrew are important parts of our school routine. A music specialist teaches holiday songs and rhythm. Shabbat celebrations are a school-wide activity and special music programs are planned throughout the year. Once a week the Hebrew specialist introduces age appropriate Hebrew language through songs and games.
Materials and activities are carefully selected to meet the individual needs of each child. The children in turn develop problem-solving skills via trial-and-error experiments observations questioning and discussions. All of the experiences are hands-on and sensory in nature.
A written communication report is sent home every Friday. It details the monthly and weekly units as well as the lesson outline for the week. Areas such as books read songs sung circle time activities math/science concepts language arts and readiness skills are noted. Each child’s self-initiated activities and accomplishments are highlighted.
