Become a child care expert with comprehensive classroom instruction in early childhood education with IRSC’s A.S. degree in Child Development and Education the degree soon required for workers at federally funded day care centers. Learn the latest techniques in the on-site lab and child care facility which provides real-world experience in child growth and development; nutrition; recreation; planning and supervision of play and learning activities; child abuse and neglect prevention; parent-child relationships; and critical thinking and problem solving. Students can begin the program by earning the Certificate in Child Development and Early Intervention.
