Our mission is to provide quality programs during out-of-school time that meet the diverse needs of our communities’ children youth and families. As we complete our 35th year of service to the children and families in Tarrant County we stand proud professional and ready to provide even better service into the future. We ended the fiscal year in the black and were able to provide a small return to our employees who made this year such a success. Thank you to all who helped recruit and enroll more students into our program. With that said there are still more children who should be in our program on a daily basis.
We completed the year with more professional development for staff than in years past. Thank you to Frankie McMurrey in her new role. Additionally we are beginning to train staff on how to assess our programs in a quanitiative manner. This will be helpful in the acquisition of scarce funding to support our scholarship program.
In the past year we were successful in lowering the health care plan premium for our staff. We also changed providers for our retirement plan. Both of these moves will have future advantages for staff. In the arena of efficiency we are moving forward to fully integrate our information systems. As we move forward we also face new challenges.
Our service delivery is moving more into self sufficiency skills and improved academic achievements. These changes still keep the basic tenet of the company of enrichment skills. Improvement to our service delivery system is moving forward. This was evidenced by the success of the 2010 summer program.
