Preschool in Frankfort, IN 46041
Traditional pre-school services are available in Carroll Clinton and White Counties to children who meet both the income and age requirements provided to us by the federal government. Children attend 3.5 hours either in the morning or afternoon session Monday through Thursday each week excluding holidays and special dates which are noted on our calendar. Transportation to these classes is provided to those who qualify.
Children attending Head Start pre-school will participate in a wide variety of educational activities with the goal of preparing them for kindergarten.
The children who attend in the morning receive breakfast and lunch while the children who attend in the afternoon receive lunch and a snack. These meals all meet the USDA food requirements.
Head Start is a comprehensive pre-school for low-income families. Head Start views the education and socialization of a child in a holistic manner. We believe that to ensure success we must address any and all elements of a childs life that may inhibit their future academic or social successes.
Head Start divides the delivery of services into the areas listed below. Within each service area a great deal of focus is spent on the education and inclusion of parents. Head Start strives to encourage and support parental involvement in all aspects of their childrens lives.
