Our toddler program serves children between the ages of 12 and 36 months. Children are assessed more holistically and parents and teachers decide when children are developmentally ready to board the Preschool Engine rather than just moving them to the next class on their birthdays. Once children learn to walkrun jump and climb they begin to explore the world around them like never before. Our toddler program provides children with a safe loving environment intended to foster their natural curiosity in a fun and positive way.
Our preschool program also provides a curriculum rich in fine arts. From painting and sculpture to playing instruments and performing arts we believe that children need outlets and mediums to express their creativity and utilize their limitless imaginations. While we love doing art projects we dont think you want to hang teacher work on your fridge. We believe that each childs work is different and unique and we celebrate what they can do on their own.
The most important part of these years is getting kids excited about school and that is one of our biggest strengths.
The Pre-K class will have the chance go on walking field trips as they relate to the curriculum. Field trips provide a unique chance for students to connect what they are learning in the classroom to the world around them. This also gives parents a great opportunity to volunteer with their childs class
Going to Kindergarten is a huge milestone for children one that we want to ensure our students are fully prepared for. The goal of the Kindergarten Express is to make sure your child is ready for all the challenges and demands of Kindergarten and is excited about learning.

At Education Station & Preschool our philosophy is based on years of education experience and research. We believe that given the proper environment nurturing and tools all children can grow and develop into successful adults who have a life long love and respect for learning and we want to provide that environment for families in the Gainesville area. Children should have a variety of experiences that help to strengthen their skills and abilities and enhance their development in important areas including: fine and gross motor social and emotional skills scientific exploration mathematical thinking visual literacy verbal expression emerging reading and writing skills and beginning technology skills. We seek to provide these enriching experiences in a loving safe healthy and developmentally appropriate way.
We believe the purpose of early childhood education is to lay the tracks for success. Education Station and Preschool believes the best way to get children excited about schooling is to begin their time as toddlers with a play-based curriculum one that builds and expands on their natural desire to play. Since play is such a big part of our school we make sure children have a variety of high quality toys and centers designed to build develop and refine skills.
As children in our care get older we phase them into more literature-based curriculum where in addition to building learning experiences into their play we relate their activities and other experiences to the books were reading. This helps us foster a love of reading while still addressing essential content areas and other critical areas of development to ensure children are as ready as possible for Kindergarten.
In addition to creating a healthy and engaging environment our aim is to also provide as much individualized attention in a group setting as possible which is why we maintain very low teacher to student ratios. This makes teachers better able to meet the individual needs of the children and makes children more comfortable and secure in their surroundings.
