Our mission is to provide the best care for all children 6 weeks – 12 years in a healthy, multi-cultural environment that encourages all children to explore and grow socially, emotionally, academically and physically.
We also recognize that the welfare of the family unit is integral to the well being of the child and strive to work with all families to ensure a successful early childhood experience. As a center, we are responsible for advocating in the greater community for all children.Want more information?
We at Peppertree Childrens Center believe that our primary function is to help each child develop a positive self-image. To further this goal, we build on the strengths of each child. We encourage children to understand that each person is unique and yet all people share certain feelings that need to be respected. We treat each child with respect and dignity so that the child will feel accepted and comfortable.
We believe that children are naturally curious and eager to learn. We provide numerous opportunities for children to explore by providing experiences in and out of the center. Field trips and visitors expand the childrens experiences on which they can build.
We believe in helping each child become all he or she is capable of becoming
PHYSICALLY through the development of large and small muscles;
EMOTIONALLY through the expression of feelings and the understanding that it is okay to be different;
SOCIALLY through sharing, playing together; and
ACADEMICALLY through group and individual experiences in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
We believe that all children are special. It is our goal to nurture that uniqueness and creativity while preparing them for the future.
Focus on Family
Peppertree Childrens Centers believe in the importance of the family unit. Parents, grandparents, siblings, and other relatives (with parental permission) are welcome at our Center any time. Parents frequently join their children for lunch, field trips, birthdays, etc.
We believe that open communication between staff and parents is essential to the well-being of our children. Newsletters, conferences, daily interaction, and special events (such as holiday shows, Mothers Day breakfast, Fathers Day breakfast, Open House) are some of the ways we encourage this interaction.
We provide many opportunities for families to socialize and network with each other.
