Begun in 1955 as an outreach service to the community, Pilgrim Nursery School has been providing quality education for over 50 years. Our educational philosophy has stood the test of time, and continues to focus on developing the whole child through learning and play. Our outdoor activities provide a major part of Pilgrim life.
Pilgrim Nursery School was the first nursery school in Glen Ridge. Some of the original students have returned to enroll the next generation of Pilgrim Nursery students! Today, Pilgrim remains true to its roots.

Pilgrim is dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate learning environment coupled with a warm and nurturing staff. Children’s play is their work! The curriculum addresses the needs of the “whole child”: social / emotional, physical, lingual, and cognitive. We respect that each child progresses at his or her own pace. Nothing is more important than helping your child have a successful early learning experience by gaining self-confidence, self-discipline and a sense of self-worth.
