KCEOCs Child Development program (Head Start and Early Head Start) is a federally funded, community based program for pregnant women and families with children through five years of age. Our Child Development program promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. Services are offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities as well as homeless children. Parents are involved in the administrative and programmatic operations of our program and are recognized as the prime educators of their children. Volunteers are welcome and are an integral part of the daily operation of our program.
