Rainbow Montessori consists of five separate classrooms. Our Little Montessorian classroom accommodates children ages 18 months to 3 years of age who are still in diapers. We have three classrooms that accommodate children ages 3-5 and a Kindergarten classroom for children who turn 5 years of age as of Sept. 1st. Our Kindergarten program is fully recognized by the Broward and Dade County School systems.
The Montessori classroom encourages children to follow their natural curiosity for learning. The Montessori child works in an environment prepared to inspire and make the learning experience an exciting and engaging one. In the Montessori classroom the teacher controls the environment not the child and acts as a guide to help the child focus his or her energies on the lesson at hand.

Physician and educator Maria Montessoris philosophy is based on her discovery of what she called the childs true normal nature. Montessori educators view each child as having their own natural guidance system which when allowed to develop uninterrupted will promote the childs individual perfect development. The Montessori classroom is arranged in such a way as to encourage independent learning based on the childs curiosity and readiness. The goal of a Montessori education is to educate the whole child and encourage learning in all areas of life: social cognitive emotional and physical.
