Sheldon ISD - Early Learning Center

Our program cares for children and grandchildren of district employees who are between the ages of 6 weeks and 4 years old as of September 1 of that school year.

Our hours of operation are 6:00 am to 5:30 pm. Monday thru Friday from August to May and then 6:15 am to 5:00 pm in June. Each school year’s start and stop dates may vary slightly. The Early Learning Center will be closed on staff holidays.

Our goal is to provide a high quality early childhood education program where the stars who are employed by Sheldon ISD will be able to bring their brightest stars knowing that their child will be close by and engaged in a learning program that supports each child’s developmental needs.

The Early Learning Center is pursuing accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is licensed through the state of Texas Protective and Regulatory Services. Our curriculum ratios environment design teacher requirements and program training plans will follow the highest guidelines. Our approach to learning will provide students hands-on experiences that are developmentally appropriate for their age. The day will provide exploration opportunities that involve language math science art and music. Breakfast lunch and afternoon snack will be included with tuition and provided through Sheldon ISD.
