Trinity Academy Preschool offers a variety in programming to meet the needs of children who are three, four, and five years old. The three year old classes learn cooperative play skills while building their language experiences and creative expression opportunities. Every two weeks, a new topic in introduced and daily enrichment includes music, art, stories, large muscle play, Bible stories, song and prayer, playtime, and refreshment time.
Four and five year olds enjoy a variety of class choices. Confidence, independence, and resourcefulness are important goals in these Kindergarten readiness programs. Theme days, cooking experiences, art activities, music, stories, small and large motor play, refreshment time, dramatic and free play, creative expression opportunities, developing math and science problem solving skills, and building Christian awareness through Bible stories, song, and prayer enhance each childs learning experiences.
Pre-Kindergarten classes have been developed for the child who is five or near five, but not ready for the formal educational experience of kindergarten. The purpose of this class is to offer a stimulating program that challenges the child, but will not jump them into kindergarten skills before they are ready in all areas of development. Language skills include dramatizing stories, pattering, rhyming, auditory discrimination and memory development. Social skills embrace cooperative interaction with others, following directions, self-reliance and problem-solving skills. Thinking skills are an important goal of each unit. Curricular areas emphasized are: language arts, science, math, art, and music. Bible stories and Christian principles are integrated into all we do.
