Our classrooms offer times of structured/guided learning and times of self-exploration and discovery. During the day, children will rotate through various learning centers (i.e. sensory, art, math, language arts, fine motor, writing, and computers). Teachers will be at centers to guide them through learning activities, while other centers will allow children to play and discover freely.
We believe teaching a second language promotes cultural awareness. Our program will introduce the Spanish language through songs, games and activities.
Surf City Christian will offer instruction in physical education that is developmentally and age appropriate. Our program will teach basic sports skills such as throwing, catching, and kicking. Hand-eye coordination and balance skills will be promoted through fun activities such as soccer, gymnastics and much more!
Music and movement is a favorite time of day! Children will learn different instrument sounds, listen for the beat, march, dance and be a kid!
Communication is an important aspect of this program offering daily notices, weekly and monthly newsletters, assessments, and parent/teacher meetings.
Our staff is carefully selected based upon their teaching experience, education, and most important of all love and sensitivity to the individual child. Each staff member will be CPR and First Aid CertifiEducation
