Prime Time Preschool - I

Prime Time Children Learning Center is a child centered preschool program. We serve families with children 1 to 5 years old. We offer a safe and comfortable atmosphere for children and their families. Our mission is to provide a caring and nurturing environment where the children can learn and develop their self esteem thorough the art and music experiences, language, science and math activities, as well as indoor and outdoor movement time. Each of these activities are planned and prepared by our teachers according to the Howard Gardners Multiple Intelligence Theory. Beside that we integrate Montessori based materials especially for math, science and language activities.

The theory of Multiple Intelligences provides eight different potential pathways of learning. Some people also refer this theory as different ways of absorbing information. The multiple intelligences theory suggests more than one way of presenting the teaching materials to facilitate effective learning.

The beauty of incorporating Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences into the classroom is that it allows for all children to learn through their strengths and to share their expertise.

It is of the utmost importance that we recognize and nurture all of the varied human intelligences, and all of the combinations of intelligences. We are all so different, largely because we all have different combinations of intelligences. If we recognize this, I think we will have at least a better chance of dealing appropriately with the many problems that we face in the world (Gardner, 1987).
