The Rainbow School believes Self-esteem is everything! Our program is designed to foster self-esteem, self-confidence, success and creativity through a combination of play and structured pre-academics. Music, arts, crafts, drama, science and mathmatical concepts are introduced in a hands-on approach.

The Rainbow School “Preschool Only A” program is designed to help students meet and/or exceed the Issaquah School District’s student learning objectives for entering kindergarteners. One of our key goals is to help children become enthusiastic learners.
Our program is designed to foster independence, self-confidence, and natural curiosity. We encourage children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their own ideas and think their own thoughts. Our program allows children to learn at their own pace and in ways best suited for the individual.
The Rainbow School practices a theme in which learning objectives are achieved through the use of specific themes. Within this context we have activities that teach:
- Reading and language arts
- Science and health
- Mathematics
- Social studies
- Art
- Music
- Physical education
- Basic computer skills
No matter what age your child is, our program and curriculum will be presented in an age-appropriate manner. We follow “developmentally appropriate practice” guidelines as set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
