Comstock Cooperative Nursery

Mrs. Johnson has been with the Comstock Co-op Preschool since 1980. In that time much has changed in the world and yet much remains the same. Students from Mrs. Johnson’s early days are now bringing their own children to the Co-op to experience what Mrs. Johnson calls “joyful chaos” or “structured flexibility.”

The curriculum of the preschool is a blend of many things: groups and individuals; loud and quiet; neat and messy; hugs and tears; yes and no; field trips and time in class; the calendar and show-and-tell; “feely box” and “love box”; outside and inside; circle time and table time.
