As part of the YWCAs mission to empower women and eliminate racism we provide care within a structure that supports the childcare needs of families regardless of their composition and in support of their diversity. The YWCA is dedicated to providing quality childcare that will enrich a childs unique social emotional physical and cognitive development.
The YWCA supports the close ties between the child and family and recognizes that children are best understood in the context of family culture and society. The philosophy of the YWCA Childrens Center (YW-CC) is based on the premise that each child develops at her or his own rate with specific needs and skill abilities. We believe that the process of learning is important and is the best way to build positive self-esteem and a solid beginning to a life of learning.
