Childrens School and Montessori

Bobbi Jakubiak and Mary Carlson started Childrens School and Montessori in 1993. After working together at another preschool, they were ready to branch off and create something of their own. They envisioned a neighborhood school where their own children and their neighbors children could have a safe, nurturing preschool experience. This was the beginning of Childrens School and Montessori a place where laughter, friendship and learning go hand-in-hand.

Because every child learns differently, Bobbi and Mary designed a curriculum that draws from classic Montessori teachings as well as trusted early childhood education principles. This well-rounded approach inspires students to solve problems in a variety of different ways and fosters self-confidence, respect, and cooperation.

Through the years, Bobbi and Mary have added a handful of other caring, energetic individuals to their close-knit team of educators. Theyre proud of the school theyve created, but most of all, theyre proud of the amazing children theyve had the honor of teaching along the way.
