On another note, recently there seems to be an increased attack on public education. News outlets and politicians across the nation seem to feel free to categorize all public schools as failures. This broad, all inclusive statement is simply not true and not fair to all of the hard working and caring people who work with children in public schools everyday. As in every single profession, there are people who excel at their profession and those who fall short, but when I hear these blanket statements, I always feel the need to stand up and defend the silent majority of teacher like those here at El Dorado School, who are dedicated professional working tirelessly to provide our students with a positive educational experience. We are lucky to have such a dedicated group working with our children, and with your help we can continue the El Dorado tradition of excellence.
