We at Mildred Helms Elementary define education as the development of the totality of talents with which
a child has been endowed. Because this is a school personnel are deeply concerned with academics
and strive to help the children reach their full potential. We believe children have the right to be given
opportunities to express themselves as happy open caring sharing and capable persons. As a result of
these convictions this school seeks to establish a community of those who teach those who learn and
