Here at A Generation Ahead, we have created our curriculum from the Illinois Early Learning Standards developed by the Illinois State Board of Education. As quoted by Barbara Bowman of the Erikson Institute,“The Illinois Early Learning Standards are excellent because they recognize the interconnectedness of emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development and learning – the whole child.” Our staff works together as a team to create and develop a curriculum that balances each child’s individuality while enhancing their ability to work within a group setting. We welcome and encourage parent participation as well as input and suggestions as to how we can better enhance your child’s academic environment.
