Highland Elementary School is one of fifteen elementary schools in the Littleton Public Schools. We are a neighborhood school at 711 East Euclid Ave. between Panama Ave. on the north and Euclid Ave. on the south; between Logan and Pearl in Arapahoe County, Centennial, Colorado. The neighborhoods that Highland Elementary School serves is the immediate neighborhood and the following neighborhoods: the Highland 460, Highlands View, Polo Run, Sherwood Orchard Addition, Broadways Estates, Southwood Village and Cherrywood. Fifty-seven percent of the students are bused. Thirty-two percent of the students are walkers, and eleven percent of the students have another form of transportation.
There are 58 staff members. Sixty-nine percent of the faculty has a Masters Degree or higher. The average years of teaching experience is 16, with faculty members ranging from 2 years to 32 years of teaching experience. Approximately 40% of our teachers either live in the Highland attendance area or their children are current or past students of Highland Elementary School.
We believe unique talents and teaching styles must be supported and respected within a framework of continuous professional growth. Your child’s success is the focal point of our program at Highland. Our focus on implementing best practices for children continues to drive our involvement in growth opportunities. Staff members are actively involved in professional classes and pursue advanced education in methods of assessment, evolving technology, and student motivation and achievement.

Our classrooms provide all the fundamentals in the core classes of Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies while granting opportunities to explore and enjoy art, music, technology, and physical education. We provide students with research, computer, and adaptive learning skills that will aid them in their future. Additionally, we offer students the necessary support and challenges when appropriate, like the Reading Ranch and our Gifted and Talented programs.
