The Pine Grove School has been serving the Mahopac area for over 25 years. All of our programs are certified by New York State Department of Education and New York State Office of Children and Family Services. We employ certified teachers and highly trained teaching assistants. All our staff are trained to provide developmentally appropriate experiences. We employ on site consultants to constantly update our teaching staff. This facility is authorized to administer medications

The Philosophy of the Pine Grove School is to help each child develop positive attitudes towards self school and learning. Activities are designed to encourage a positive self-image a thirst for knowledge and a solid beginning towards developing a child’s full potential.
We believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure nurturing and stimulating environment in which to grow emotionally socially intellectually and physically. We base our work with children on knowledge of child development and learning. Our goals are to foster a love of learning that will help children to become life long learners to promote respect for all people and things and to respect and facilitate the childs natural curiosity to direct their learning.
The pre-school environment is prepared to provide a homey friendly atmosphere. It is set up to promote independence and to allow children to make choices about how they want to spend their free time. This environment fosters respect for self and others and encourages intellectual growth. Children express themselves through language movement individual play and age appropriate learning activities.
