Marion Elementary is proud to be a National Reading Styles Model School. Reading Styles is the
application of learning styles theory to the teaching of reading. At Marion Elementary the reading
instruction is designed to identify how each child learns best and teaches each child according to
his/her strengths. Teachers use recorded books learning centers hands-on activities technology
literature phonics and tutorials. Many innovative strategies such as varied classroom arrangements
and Accelerated Reader are used to minimize reading failure and to enhance the learning process.
