Our philosophy stems from the brilliance of individuals such as John Dewey Erik Erikson Jean Piaget Albert Bandura Howard Gardner as well as many others. We believe that children learn best when they are in a happy and nurturing environment one that is filled with age appropriate challenging and stimulating activities that promote growth. Therefore we provide a program that considers the cognitive social emotional and physical needs as interrelated areas. We view children as strong rich in potential powerful competent resourceful curious and loving. They are encouraged to wonder explore and make new relationships that allow them to reach a new level of understanding and development.
At Bambini Academy we believe in academic experiences that reflect the real world. Thus we have created an environment that is child-centered providing opportunities in all areas including sensorial exploration practical life skills language math science art music as well as cultural subjects at the earliest ages. It has been our experience that each child learns differently; therefore our staff strives as a team to approach each child’s learning style individually; working in partnership with parents in order to build mutual understanding and greater consistency for the children. Our teachers provoke ideas and co-explore the learning experience with the children. They support children on their educational journey and encourage them to reflect and question. Our programs are designed to cultivate our students’ interests and support their needs while challenging their intellect. Our programs are designed to build self-esteem social interaction and school readiness.As a Reggio Emilia inspired school we believe that children are active protagonists of their own learning that teachers must gradually assist students with their understanding of concrete lessons and assist them in the development of abstract concepts and that families should be co-participants as well as co-responsible for the development of their children.
