Gan Ami Beginnings, Preschool & Kindergarten is the premier early childhood program serving Milwaukees North Shore communities.

Our program offers a childcentered curriculum based on an emergent approach. Through careful observation and documentation of childrens interests and play, our dedicated early childhood educators create discussion topics that capture childrens natural curiosity. We strive to provide a happy and relaxed learning situation that emphasizes the process of learning and the pleasure of discovery. As part of our belief that learning takes place through play and handson experiences, children are encouraged to develop creativity and critical thinking skills through a balance of structured activities and interactive play.

Gan Ami also participates in an innovative and fun-filled values-education curriculum called An Ethical Start. This curriculum helps teachers and parents support childrens emotional and social development and teach them core human values like responsibility, dignity, kindness, community, tradition and respect.

Catch Early Childhood is a new program being implemented in Gan Ami which is designated to nurture a love of physical activity, provide an introduction to classroom-based gardening and nutrition, and encourage healthy eating in children ages 2-5. Modeled after the nationally recognized CATCH Program (coordinated Approach to Child Health), The Early Childhood Program provides an environment where physical activity, health education, gardening and healthy eating behaviors are valued and taught.

We provide opportunities for our parents and teachers to grow and learn about child development, parenting, and Jewish life. Being a part of a diverse community, we create connections that enrich our everyday living and learning.
