If you are new to the Mt. Morris area let me welcome you and introduce you to some of the programs we have at Pinehurst. The Pinehurst campus includes the county-based Head Start program for our youngest learners. We also have a comprehensive Michigan School Readiness Program for four-year-olds all-day and half-day kindergarten sessions and first through fourth grade classrooms. Children with special needs receive support in all areas of the curriculum.

I am pleased to share that all classrooms are led by highly qualified teachers. Children participate in literacy instruction set specifically to their level of learning. They also actively engage in Accelerated Reading music education and four weekly sessions of physical education. Learning is extended in the computer lab four days each week. Our highly-qualified paraprofessional staff assists teachers in the classroom as children receive extra instruction daily. We have an active Indian Education program that provides tutoring and cultural education to our Native American population. Children are invited to join enrichment activities before and after school as part of the Bridges to the Future program.
