Child’s Path Preschool is an affiliate of the David Lawrence Center. The preschool was originally established in the 1980s in order to provide Center employees discounted and affordable child care services. Child’s Path is now open to the public and has grown to become one of the most well respected full-service preschool programs in Collier County serving children ages 1 5 years old. Childs Path is a 5 day-a-week preschool program providing kindergarten readiness and teaching age appropriate social skills behavioral tools and prevention activities.
Child’s Path is a place where children come to play learn and shine. Our goal is to ensure a nurturing environment where children can flourish both academically and socially. At Child’s Path we feel that the key to a child’s success is balance. While children have a great capacity for learning they are still children who should enjoy part of their day running laughing and playing with their friends.
Child’s Path sets to achieve the highest level of standards and partners with a variety of local organizations such as the Department of Children and Families Collier County Health Department Early Learning Coalition Naples Alliance for Children and Collier County Public Schools to ensure all standards are met or exceeded. In addition all lead teachers are required to have a Child Development Associates (CDA) certification and all staff are trained in infant and child CPR.

Child’s Path’s educational philosophy is to give each child a positive experience where they can build a healthy self-esteem. Childs Path accomplishes this goal by creating a fun hands on approach to learning for the whole child focusing on their social emotional and physical well-being. Teachers base lessons plans on the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum which helps children explore the world around them my using all their senses (touching tasting listening smelling and looking). Each month parents are provided a calendar announcing the educational theme. Special events cooking parties art projects etc. are all designed around the theme and communicated in advance so that parents have the opportunity to discuss the days events with their little one and reinforce at home what the children have learned throughout the day.
