We believe that learning should be fun active and engaging while building a strong foundation for future learning living and maintaining lasting relationships. At Temple Shalom Preschool learning is always playful active and imaginative. In addition our teachers act as positive role models acting and speaking with kindness and respect.

Each age and stage of development has its own integrity. Young children learn about themselves and their world through everyday experiences. Our child-directed curriculum provides a framework that invites children to observe make choices and experiment thus developing a sense of competence and initiative. Our teaching staff is trained in techniques of conflict resolution and constructive communication and they are constantly aware of both individual and group needs. Finally Judaism is taught in such a manner that all children feel comfortable regardless of home religious observance.

We are proud to offer a warm caring and creative Jewish environment where each childs individuality is valued and nurtured. At Temple Shalom Preschool we focus on the childrens emotional and social growth (i.e. problem solving listening self-expression and cooperative skills). Classrooms are built around a variety of learning corners where the children develop motor cognitive and social skills.
