Learning is fun at Stepping Stones Academy! Our goals are to help your pre-schooler learn to think creatively to facilitate intellectual exploration and to promote physical and social development. We are proud of our stimulating curriculum learning tools and teaching aids.
Stepping Stones Academy was born 5 years ago owned and operated by Wayne & Lynda Evans. Our goal was to provide top quality child care and pre-school services to Okeechobee County and the surrounding communities. Over the years our family and schools have evolved to encompass two facilities and a compilation of dedicated certified teachers many of whom have been with us since the beginning.

Stepping Stones Academy I has been awarded A.P.P.L.E. accreditation (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment)
Stepping Stones Academy II has been awarded N.A.C. accreditation ( National Accreditation Commission)
We participate in the USDA food program. We provide breakfast lunch and afternoon snack at no cost to you. The food program does not permit outside food. Please contact one of our locations for more information about our food program.

Here at Stepping Stones Academy we use the Active Learning Series and DLM curriculum to implement a fun environment conducive to learning and embracing all of the early learning concepts in our program. Stepping Stones Academy adapts these lessons to each individual age group as they progress in preparation for the kindergarten classroom and beyond.
The Active Learning Series focuses primarily on the value of learning through play as well as classroom arrangement (physical environment). We incorporate teaching styles along with the childrens interests so each classroom is unique but at the same time developmentally appropriate.
