Krieger Early Childhood Center at Temple Ahavat Shalom

Preschool at the Krieger Early Childhood Center is a unique learning experience for children ages two to five. Our creative curriculum is pedagogically sound utilizing the 4 domains of learning: social emotional cognitive and language development. Our warm and nurturing approach to our children helps them learn about themselves in a way that enhances their self-esteem and raises their awareness of the importance of kindness sharing and respect for others. Since these are Jewish values we utilize our beautiful Jewish celebrations to help our children make these values their own. Every Friday we anticipate Shabbat with a meaningful ceremony in our sanctuary where we are joined by our Rabbi and Cantor. At each Friday celebration our kids give Tzedakah by bringing food to the needy. They receive awards for Mitzvot (good deeds) which they perform during the week. They thank God for their blessings with words and song and their parents grandparents teachers Rabbi and Cantor ask God’s blessing for them. We also mark every Jewish and secular holiday with a special celebration.
