Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center is pleased to announce that it has selected Saxon curriculum as the foundational curriculum for the children in its center. “We believe,” says Florence Freeman, President and CEO, “that Saxon Curriculum embodies our educational philosophy and truly helps children succeed right from the start”! Saxon curriculum is also used in some of the county schools.

Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center is committed to using the Saxon curriculum for all age groups. The Saxon curriculum is the only major math and phonics programs on the market today that systematically distributes instruction and practice and assessment throughout the year. Key concepts are introduced in related increments, recognizing that smaller pieces of information are easier to teach and easier to learn. Because traditional chapter approaches expose children to key concepts only within the chapter, Saxons approach is more effective because it provides continual practice of all concepts throughout the entire year and across grade levels.

The Saxon Early Learning Curriculum is a fully integrated, comprehensive curriculum that addresses the educational needs of children ages 3-5 and prepares them for Kindergarten instruction. Early childhood education can change the lives of young children and children who are exposed to high quality settings and educational materials such as Saxons gain better language and mathematical skills, develop better cognitive and social skills, and cultivate better relationships with classmates than those who do not receive such exposure.

Pasadena Child Care and Homework Center provides developmentally-appropriate programs for children on a full-time or part-time basis for children aged 2 to 15. This center caters to toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners to develop the skills necessary for school readiness. The Center also caters to elementary through high school children via the Homework Center, which offers a high quality, state-of-the-art high tech, after-school program helping children achieve better grades in school. During the summer months, the Center’s summer camp offers a combination of academic and recreational activities for children 2 -15. Pasadena Child Care & Homework Center is a licensed facility with a capacity of 100 children.
