Edmund Hmieleski Jr. Early Childhood Center

The mission of the Edmund Hmieleski, Jr. Early Childhood Center is to provide every 3 and 4 year old child a developmentally appropriate, quality preschool program designed to meet the child’s individual needs. The Perth Amboy School System, guided by current brain research, professional standards and guidelines, has designed a high quality program based on the nationally known Creative Curriculum.

The program has been created to provide for social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of young children in a safe and caring, learning environment. Each child will learn at his/her own rate based on their needs, interests, and abilities.

At the Edmund Hmieleski, Jr. Early Childhood Center, it is our mission to:

Develop social competence by providing opportunities for children to make decisions and solve problems. Create aesthetic experiences using music, art, and literature. Facilitate the transition of children into elementary school by providing appropriate early childhood literacy and mathematical experiences.
