A.E.S.D. #68 - Alhambra Preschool Programs

The Alhambra School District recognizes the need to begin teaching children and socializing them at an early age. We believe that by beginning the instruction process before kindergarten, students have a better chance to succeed in school.

AOK Preschool
Alhambra offers the following preschool programs to meet the needs of our community: Tuition-based preschool for 3 and 4-year olds. Full day and half-day (morning or afternoon) classes are available. Certified and highly qualified teaching staff. Nationally recognized SFA curriculum.

Developmental Preschool
A preschool program for 3 and 4-year old children who have significant developmental delays. This program is free to children who qualify. Morning and afternoon classes are available. Highly qualified teaching staff who specialize in early childhood special education.

Head Start Preschool
A preschool for 3 and 4-year old children from low-income or at-risk families. Morning and afternoon are classes available. This program is free to families who meet federal income guidelines. Fully certified teaching staff. Nationally recognized SFA curriculum.

Stepping Stone Preschool
A Stepping Stone Foundation offers a preschool program for 4-year-old children of parents who are seeking to get a high school diploma or acquire English as a second language. Parents must attend district-sponsored GED or English classes, parenting workshops and volunteer in the preschool classroom. The program is free to families who qualify and are accepted.
