At ALC we use a curriculm that is sent in called highreach. This curriculm explores and teaches children values and educates the children using numbers, colors and shapes to prepare them for their future. ALC curriculm starts the highreach curriculm at the age of one and it continues to the age of five.
Infants:
At ALC our infants are cared for deeply. The curriculm used for this class is designed for each child indidvidually. It caters to the needs and abilities of each infant. ALC also provides enfamil formula, gerber baby food and gerber rice ceral.
Toddlers:
The toddler program is designed to motivate and encourage self help. The energy and enthusiam is a promise in our toddler program. Daily reports are sent home to keep open communication with the parents.
Preschool:
The fun and energetic preschool program is a success with keeping up with the requirements for future kindergarteners. The focus is to prepare and achieve all goals set by the indidvidual class. The atomsphere is friendly and warm.
School Age:
ALC offers transportation to local schools. The staff ensures that homework hour is offered and does the best to make sure it gets completed. Each child enrolled in our school age program is sure to leave our center full of confidence and encouragment to do the best they can. The school agers have a wonderful summer program that includes cooking activites, field trips (ages 6 and up) , and special events.
Circle Time:
This activity takes place in the morning. It is a group activity that includes the calender, weather, counting and the childrens favorite singing. We also, have story time during this activity.
Centers:
All of the classrooms are set up and organized in centers. It encourages compromise and independence through out the classrooms. Each room is set up with a music, science, housekeeping, blocks, manipulatives, and art center allowing the children to explore.
Meals:
Breakfast and lunch are provided. Along with snacks. ALC is part of the food and nutrition program therefore all of our meals are cooked and prepared to meet food guidelines. ALC offers a four week cycle menu. The meals are inviting and children are encouraged to try all meals.
