P.V.U.S.D. #69 - North Canyon High School

The Preschool program at North Canyon High School is a vocational program that allows the student the opportunity to work with children in an educational setting. It is set up similar to that of a private preschool program and the students have similar responsibilities including planning/teaching lessons, observations, set-up/cleanup, and parent contact. The high school teacher/preschool Director acts as a facilitator to help students with their management and relational skills.

Children benefit from this program by participating in a wide variety of activities designed to meet their special interests and needs in a safe and healthy environment. These activities are designed to encourage the childs growth in the four development areas (physical, intellectual, emotional, and social). The centers in the NCHS Preschool are also designed to encourage learning, playing and socializing.
