Tamara and Darren Lee founded The Caepe Preschool on the firm belief that their personal commitment and innovative curriculum provides something of considerable value to the Anthem community. Given the great success and response they experienced throughout their first year, they decided it was time to expand their vision of education in order to serve more children and to provide them with even greater resources.
Programs serve children two and a half years old to five years old and include: Mathematics, Language Arts (Get Ready to Read Program designed by Tamara Lee), Performing Arts, Spanish, Science, Social Studies, Poetry and an Olympic training Physical Education component. The well-rounded program instructed by Masters level teachers also includes a student mentor element in cooperation with The Caepe School, its sister kindergarten through eighth grade private school.
New technology program begins with keyboarding while practicing age appropriate academic skills through on-line learning tools and resources. As part of this innovative class, young students will use their laptop each week as a way to get a jump on the ever-changing world of technology. The preschools technology support team is taking all security and safety measures to ensure appropriate use of this learning tool.
In addition, Musical Theater of Anthems Director, Jackie Hammond, will be leading the specialized Performing Arts program for all classes. Performing Arts directors will teach students voice and dance as part of two yearly performances.
