Academy for Early Learning offers a professionally designed thematic curriculum; complete with lesson plans assessments progress reports portfolios and newsletters for parents to use as a guide.
Children learn through hands on play and structured activities in our well organized learning centers. Our classroom is organized into “learning environments.” These are the spaces within our classroom where the children discover activities and materials related by theme interest and skills. These activities and materials can be used independently by the children or with teacher direction to reinforce and enrich skills and concepts they need to reach higher levels of development. Learning environments are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children in a very child centered and developmentally appropriate way. The accelerated school readiness program with gifted curriculum is designed for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years old. It is these first five years that are the most significant in your child’s development. It is now that children are formulating ideas about themselves others education and the world around them. It is essential that early literacy math skills motor development cognitive thinking character attributes and social and emotional skills are cultivated at this early age. A misstep at this stage in development can foster a tremendous long term disadvantage.

The Academy conducts Child Development Screenings and Assessments to identify where each child is developmentally. If there is an indication that a child would benefit from additional resources the Academy works with the Warm Line to identify needs and a development plant and support system.
