GMA, Inc. is a licensed child care center in the community providing high quality, affordable full day child care service to Infants, Toddlers, Pre-School and School-Age children, ages 6weeks to 12 years. Hours of Operation are 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. The management and employees are comprised of a Program Director, Administrative Assistant, Lead Teacher, Full/Part-time Teachers, and Teacher Assistants. Our office hours for enrollment are 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. All other visits and enrollment will be taken by appointment only.
Licensed by the Virginia State Department of Social Services, it has met all regulations pertaining to childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Employees and management regularly attend staff development to enhance their knowledge and skills that will, in turn, benefit the children being served. We will use a research-base curriculum, using Montessoris and Piagets approaches to learning.

At GMA, we believe that children learn and grow through experiences. Children are naturally curious and should be allowed to explore the world within their own capabilities through active involvement with materials and their environment. We recognize that children learn through play and that their development is progressive and have many facets: social, emotional, cognitive, motor and physical. We strive to observe and to provide opportunities for growth in all of these areas. Through a research-based approach, we daily address each childs physical well-being and development by providing plenty of exercises, rest, a balanced diet, and sensory motor activities.
Since it is our belief that praise, encouragement, and redirection are more effective in promoting desirable behavior, we emphasize emotional support and positive reinforcement. The parent is the first teacher and primary influence on the child. We understand that we do not reduce the parent’s responsibility, but we do serve to compliment and encourage the parent-child relationship. Families and employees work together to provide a general support system for each child to promote his or her healthy development.
