NHCDC provides a planned Christian curriculum and weekly lesson plans. However, we believe that children learn through play. We teach a combination of the “Abeka” (worksheet instructed learning) and “Wee Learn” (learning promoted through center play) Christian based curriculums. Through these programs, children are exposed to a variety of concepts such as alphabets, colors, numbers, shapes, sizes, calendars, weather and feelings. Our curriculum runs nine months out of the year, just as Wake County Public School system does. Throughout the summer months, we switch to a “Summer Fun” curriculum!
Other areas that are covered throughout the year include safety rules, positive self-image, animals, seasons, plants and community helpers. Above all, we hope to teach your child socialization skills the ability to get along well with others (children and adults). This is just one of the essential skills we teach that your child will use his/her entire life. It is our goal to promote a positive childcare experience for both the child and the parent.
