Happiness Is Nursery School

Happiness Is Nursery School was a vision of the church and the Pastor in early 1971. The church felt that the Christian Education Building needed to be used to educate and teach children in the community about Jesus Christ. The congregation voted in favor of the new school and gave $100.00 to begin a Christian Kindergarten and Nursery School. After much prayer, a staff and Board of Overseers (to guide the staff) were chosen. A name was selected: Happiness Is. As Catherine Marshall said, Happiness comes to us as a dividend. When we become absorbed in something demanding and worthwhile above and beyond ourselves, happiness seems to be there.
Happiness Is opened October 18, 1971. God continues to bless us to this day.

At Happiness Is, the children are taught and shown the love of God by a Christian staff. During our group time, we introduce the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, different Bible stories and Bible songs. During our classroom time, we reinforce what we have introduced with age appropriate, related activities.
The goals and objectives of our curriculum were developed with guidance from the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, The Massachusetts Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences and the Preschool and Kindergarten sections of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Elementary Bible Series.
