Hunts Church Preschools ultimate goal is to prepare your child for the next level of education at the school of your choice. We do this by providing a dynamic, integrated curriculum that nurtures and builds upon your childs natural curiosity and love of learning.
Through individual and group play, music, art and science activities, language development, math concepts, and indoor/outdoor play children will learn to:
Build self-confidence and gain independence Explore and expand abilities and interests Develop their listening and fine motor skills, and improve coordination Identify colors, shapes, letters, and numbers Develop feelings of security and success Develop language and cognitive skills Use their imaginations and express thoughts and ideas Share and take turns Listen to stories and work on creative projects Use visual and auditory perception and discrimination Expand Christian values through stories, prayers, songs, and activities. Develop reading readiness and math skills in preparation for kindergartenWeekday Early Education is an educational program in which age-appropriate activities are used to guide and encourage development. The development of the total child is the objective rather than the teaching of individual skills. Academic skills are the by-product of these age-appropriate activities.
We supplement this program in the Pre-K with Explode the Code which teaches basic phonics for early readers. Students begin to blend sounds to read words and phrases, and build vocabulary.
