1 Were one of the few state-licensed preschools in the Valley. What that means for you is an added degree of confidence that we are who we say we are and we do what we say we do. Were subject to state inspection at any time, and they will look at our safety records, our child accountability, and our health records. They are concerned about the qualifications of our staff, requiring ongoing training for them of 16 credit hours per year, criminal history checks through the Department of Social Services and the Virginia State Police. Every teacher on staff here is certified in First Aid and Infant/Child CPR trained. Were trained in Medicine Administration in case you have a child with health concerns or special needs. All of our staff is fully trained in Emergency Response in the event of a serious threat or disaster. We have annual Health Inspections and Fire Inspections as well.

We use the center approach to learning and offer many center opportunities in the classroom each day. Some of those include our home living area, light tables, water tables, easel painting, computers, blocks and lots of manipulatives.
6 The children sing with Mrs. Cochran and are excited to have an engaging time with her developing their singing skills monthly. They will sing for you at Christmas and at years end.

8 Mrs. Cochran also has Library Day with the children where they listen to a story and then get to participate in the story. It is a very interactive time that the children look forward to and enjoy!

Bonsack Baptist WEEC is based on the philosophy that each child is a
unique individual who develops at his own rate. As children grow, they
experience a sequence of developmental stages. The rate of progression
through these stages can vary from one child to another. Our program
encompasses a developmental approach to teaching, stressing activities
that are developmentally appropriate for each child. Our staff stays up to
date with the latest on the early education of young children. We place
emphasis on the process and joy of learning and creating rather than on
the finished product. This approach provides each child the opportunity to
reach his highest potential with special respect for his unique individuality. It is a program in which teachers and children work together in a
Christian atmosphere of love and trust.
