Brookfield Academys mission is to provide students with the tools that they need both academic and social to succeed at the next level of their education. Students who graduate from Brookfield are prepared for the best middle schools and high schools possessing the work habits and the confidence they need in order to do well. Brookfield employs Montessori methodology a proven system which addresses each childs individuality. Sequential steps in academic growth are carefully tested before moving ahead in any subject allowing each student to progress at their own rate.

The Rochester Hills Campus offers: 4 preprimary classrooms ages 2.6 6 years old 2 lower elementary classrooms ages 6 to 9 years old and 1 upper elementary classroom ages 9 to 12 years old. Brookfield Academy has been in the Rochester Hills community for over 25 year the fourth of our five campuses in Michigan. Like our other campuses it has been added on to in stages the last wing being named after one of our valiant students who lost her battle with cancer while attending our school. Its close proximity to Chrysler Headquarters Oakland Community College and Crittenton Hospital make it an ideal location for professional working parents.

Our campus is open Monday – Friday from 7 am – 6 pm. Able to accommodate 270 children we currently offer the following programs:

A Preprimary program for children 3 to 6 years old. This is offered as a full day program or a half-day program.

Two Elementary programs for children 6-9 years old and 9-12 years old.

Special Classes in music and Spanish are included in our preprimary curriculum as well as teacher-directed art and physical education. In the elementary programs art music Spanish computer and physical education are taught by specialists during the school day.

In addition to the special classes that are included in our programs we also offer optional enrichment programs for an additional fee. The soccer program has already begun and additional enrichment classes will be added during the winter months.

Children who need additional care before and/or after school sign up for Club Brookfield. This provides a time for your child to relax choose interesting activities and participate in games. Each week has a theme that is designed to target the childrens interests in Science nature sports arts and crafts and just plain fun.

Enrichment Programs Offered – During the fall semester the children have the opportunity to enroll in enrichment classes after school. On Mondays children’s house children have golf. Lower elementary children may attend chess golf or brain games. Upper elementary children may attend chess golf or band.

Club Brookfield – Children can attend Morning Club Brookfield starting at 7 am. Afternoon Club Brookfield begins after classes end until 6 pm. Elementary children have a study period each day during study hall.

Rochesters educators are all trained in the Montessori Method of instruction a one year course of study in addition to their degree. We are lucky to have the training center right in our building. Academic backgrounds vary among the faculty each person having been chosen for their attitude toward children and their personal educational philosophy. The majority of our teaching faculty has been with us for between 10 and 20 years.
