A childs social and emotional development is too important to leave to chance. The JCC of Greater Washington’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program including Preschool, T/K and Kindergarten is a place where families and their children grow and learn together in a nurturing Jewish Community.
Our professional and caring staff crafts a variety of learning experiences that allow every child to discover and construct knowledge about the world they live in, building skills and understanding as they progress. Children become motivated and enthusiastic learners through a curriculum that is driven by their interests. Jewish holidays, customs, traditions and values come alive through the hands-on experiences that are at the heart of our program. In addition, we encourage children to express themselves through a variety of creative art and music programs. We create childhood memories, Judaic and secular.
Established at the JCCGW over 40 years ago, our preschool offers a play-based curriculum, with an emphasis on Jewish values to broaden childrens horizons having their first experience in a structured school environment. We provide a wide range of class offerings for children in preschool through transitional-kindergarten and kindergarten plus an Inclusion Program. We are a non-profit preschool, operated under the guidance of a Board of Directors appointed by the JCCGW. All preschool programs are licensed and certified by the Maryland State Department of Education.

From JCCGW Preschool through T/K and Kindergarten, and after-school programming, we strive to foster a positive sense of self for each child. We encourage children to express themselves through creative art and music activities and we make our holidays, customs, traditions and values come to life. The JCCGW Preschool builds the foundation to create childhood memories, both Judaic and secular. We challenge, enlighten and broaden childrens horizons through a wide variety of experiences provided by a professional and caring staff.
