First Start Rosedale provides
developmentally-appropriate programs for children
on a full-time or part-time basis for children aged 6
weeks to school age. This center caters to
infants, toddlers and preschoolers to develop the
skills necessary for school readiness.
The center is licensed by the Maryland State
Department of Education, Division of Early
Childhood Development, Office of Child Care for
about 103 Children.

First Start Rosedale provides developmentally age-appropriate programs that focus on the process of
learning; fosters academic enrichment in core instructional areas and invests in outstanding faculty and
staff. We strive to strengthen each childs own cultural identity, while instilling a respect for others. We
consistently refine and supplement our programs to fit the needs of our students, and to empower them
as future leaders. Some of the core areas explored are Science, Technology, Language Arts,
Mathematics, Social Studies, physical education and Fine Arts.
The FSLC program is structured in a way that emphasizes a hands-on approach to
academic subjects.
