The Children’s Corner of West Essex operates the school with seven classrooms, an indoor gymnasium and an outdoor enclosed play area. Our students reflect the rich diversity of Suburban Essex County. We are a parent driven non-profit school founded in 2004 under the principle of providing high quality education to families at an affordable cost. We were previously located in West Orange and moved to our new larger Roseland location in March of 2010.

The Childrens Corner is an eclectic preschool whose mission is to nurture our students growth through creative learning in a loving, safe environment. The children develop a strong sense of self growing to become independent, logical, reasoning individuals freely exploring at their own pace, guided by the staff.
Our school environment provides many opportunities for the children to solve problems, both individually and in groups. We encourage the development of the whole child by inviting the children to explore their environment, to interact with their peers and staff, and to use good manners throughout the day. Classrooms are organized around ever-changing learning centers. The curriculum supports the rich diversity of our community and our philosophy of a respectful, fun place to learn and grow. Themes help children explore and learn to understand both their world and the global world in which we live. Our empathetic staff understands the complexity and pressures of modern parenting, considering both the needs of the child and the family. We strive to treat every child as an individual within a small school “family” setting. Our team approach to teaching helps create a sense of belonging and community, preparing the children for the challenges of the world.
